depends on the number of columns in the coop, usually 8 meters (2

determined based on the feeding method, fecal cleaning method,
span, and climate conditions, and is generally recommended to have
a eaves height of 2.5-3 meters.
4. Rooftop of chicken coop: The roof of the chicken coop should
have strong waterproof, thermal insulation, and load-bearing
capacity.
5. Chicken House Wall: The wall is the enclosure structure of the
chicken house, which is required to be protected from external wind
and rain, with good thermal insulation. The inner and outer walls
are painted with cement to facilitate moisture-proof and flushing.
6. Chicken coop floor: The chicken coop floor should be higher than
the outside surface and flat, with a certain slope at the bottom of
the septic tank for flushing and disinfection.
7. Chicken coop doors and windows: The width of the chicken coop
door is subject to the smooth entry and exit of all facilities and
work vehicles. Generally, a single door is 2 meters high and 1.6
meters wide, and a double door is 2 meters high and 1.4 meters
wide. For an open chicken coop, the size of the windows should take
into account the lighting coefficient and ventilation of the coop.
Generally, the window area should not be less than 1/8 of the coop
area.
8. Chicken coop passage: The passage in the chicken coop is a place
where breeders work and observe the chicken flock every day, with a
recommended distance of 0.9-1.1 meters.

Disadvantages of enclosed chicken coops:
(1) High requirements for building standards and numerous ancillary
equipment.
(2) Due to the lack of sunlight and contact with soil, chicken
flocks must be provided with full feed to ensure that their bodies
receive comprehensive nutrients; Otherwise, certain nutritional
deficiency diseases may occur in the chicken flock.
(3) Due to the reliance on electricity for ventilation, lighting,
feeding, drinking water, etc., reliable power sources must be
available; Otherwise, in the event of a power outage, bidding
farewell to the hot summer will have a serious impact on chicken
farming production.
(4) Due to limitations in chicken body activity and reduced heat
dissipation during cold seasons, feed returns have increased;
(5) The enclosed chicken coop adopts mechanical ventilation and
artificial lighting, and the spacing between chicken coops can be
greatly reduced, thereby reducing the area occupied by the chicken
coop.
Precautions of battery chicken cage system
If the stocking density exceeds the number of chicken cages, it
will restrict the activities of the chickens and affect the growth
and development. Moreover, too many numbers will also affect the
air quality of the chicken coops and the service life of the
chicken coops, and may also cause the chickens to become stronger.
Bullying, pecking and other phenomena occur, so farmers should make
reasonable adjustments in time according to the growth stage of the
flock.
